Having practiced law for over 35 years, Sunitha is a prominent Senior Member of the fraternity known for her expertise in corporate and commercial laws. Having expertise in the function of Investment Advisory, Ms. Narhari is regularly participating in important business functions such as that of, structuring investments, negotiations, coordinating submission of disclosures to regulators, recording understandings and agreements, applications, and representations before regulatory agencies of the government to obtain approvals in respect of investments and divestments.
In the past, Ms. Narhari has served as a director in leading Indian Companies and also for several wholly owned subsidiaries of foreign multinationals. She has handheld various start-up business operations and often functioned much like in-house counsel by offering proactive advice, foreseeing legal and practical difficulties, and working alongside her clients regularly to resolve the challenges efficiently. Sunitha has extensively advised major national and multinational clients on the subject of foreign investment in India and has devised as well as implemented entry strategies by establishing wholly owned subsidiaries, liaison and branch offices, arrangements of joint ventures, foreign collaboration, and technology transfer.
Sunitha met Rahul in 2015, and what was meant to be a conversation over a cup of coffee landed up being a detailed one. She started as spending time with the lawyers at Lex Chambers to guide and advise them, and eventually joined the firm as a Partner. As a senior member of the firm, she leads the strategic initiatives and actively advises on corporate and commercial transactions. Before joining Lex Chambers, Ms. Narhari has worked with a prominent lawyer of his time and was a founding member of a multi-partner progressive law office, where she grew in her role from being an Associate going all the way up, to being the managing partner.
Ms. Narhari is actively involved in CSR advisory, has helped serval individuals and organizations connect with the right people to accelerate the good work they do for the benefit of society. It is from her mother who was a prominent social worker, Sunitha learned the art of giving. She continues to engage in low bono matters and serves as an external member on PoSH committees.
