Shobana leads the competition, regulatory, and policy practice of the firm. With extensive and in-depth knowledge of the latest developments Shobana successfully handles day-to-day legal advice to private utilities in the areas of electricity, oil & gas sectors, on diverse legal and regulatory issues with a focus on reforms, review of power purchase agreements, power sale agreements, transmission agreements, gas supply agreements, etc.
 
Shobana read law at Symbiosis Law College, Pune, and started her career as a judicial clerk attached to Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.K. Jain (retd.) of the Supreme Court of India. Thereon, she went on to work with one of the most prestigious firms of India in their policy and regulatory practice team for three (3) years. Shobana went on to work internationally and her dependability and resilience only increased with the global experience she had been served.
 
Shobana has been instrumental in the firm’s success and fondly recalls the very beginning of the firm when the idea was still rising. With her tranquil characteristics and unmatched patience, she became a stabilizer among the equity partners. Not afraid to smile in the face of nuisance, she is the perfect person to handle any crisis. Her benchmark reliability and extensive steadiness are foundational to the firm. Her contribution is not limited to just case handling but extends forward to smooth management and important decision-making.
 
She is a passionate reader and can be seen unwinding within the brown pages of a published work. She strongly believes that literature widens her knowledge pool, and it is through reading that one can think beyond what one immediately has. She has an easy-to-approach persona and with her people often find themselves and ease. However, not all her time is spent exploring the literature for she is quite the food enthusiast and loves exploring new cuisines and food any chance she gets.
 
Shobana is enrolled with the Delhi Bar Council and is also a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
