Shweta Gupta is a Partner at Lex Chambers, with a practice focused on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, business transfers, India entry strategies, and corporate advisory. She advises a broad spectrum of clients, including investors, multinational corporations, start-ups, and promoter groups, on complex and high-value transactions as well as day-to-day corporate and commercial matters.

Her practice spans key sectors such as manufacturing, FMCG, hospitality, media, entertainment and sports. Shweta is regularly engaged in strategic transactions, including acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures, and has particular experience in advising multinational clients on structuring and establishing their presence in India. She is known for delivering commercially focused and solution-oriented advice, with an emphasis on execution and risk mitigation.

 

She works closely with founders, start-ups, and emerging businesses across their lifecycle, from initial structuring and founder arrangements to fundraises, strategic collaborations, and exits, providing practical and scalable business-oriented solutions aligned with clients' objectives.

 

In addition to her corporate and transactional practice, Shweta advises sportspersons and other clients on contractual and commercial matters, including structuring and monetisation of rights, licensing arrangements, and estate planning.
